G98 Storm Advance to Final Four in Cal South State Cup

The SLO Storm G98 team has advanced to the Final Four of the Cal South State Cup – President’s Division after winning the quarter-final match 1-0 against Legends FC Black with a goal from Boller (assisted by Hotaling) at the 67th min.

The journey to the quarter-final match started early morning Saturday, April 12th when the team was able to squeeze a 2-1 win past Foothill Storm with goals from Hotaling (assisted by Minetti) and O’Hare (assisted by Hotaling). After enjoying some team bonding on Saturday afternoon, the girls got back on the field early morning on Sunday, April 13th and played Carlsbad Elite in the Round of 16. With a 2-0 win on that game with goals from Hotaling (unassisted) and Minetti (assisted by Boller), the team qualified for the quarter-finals on Sunday afternoon which proved to be another successful game for the SLO Storm G98, who are now headed to San Bernardino on the weekend of April 26th-27th for their semi-final match against Celtic Harps.

Congratulations to the coaching staff, team manager and players for this great achievement and good luck in the last weekend. Bring home the 2014 Cal South State Cup trophy!
